Dames at Sea July 23, 2009

University Theatre embarks on it's summer nautical journey with 'Dames at Sea,' directed by Jennifer Stewart. Best known for bringing a young Bernadette Peters to fame, 'Dames at Sea' is based on the 1930's "Gold Diggers" movies. Winning several Drama Desk and Obie awards when it opened off-Broadway in 1968, this wonderful musical is filled with divas, rising stars and tap dancing chorus girls, along with songs such as, 'Broadway Baby,' and 'Good Times are Here to Stay.'
