Their firm Office dA, founded in 1991, expands the conventional scope of architectural practice to embrace a range from furniture to urban design. Monica Ponce de Leon and Nader Tehrani find exemplary solutions within the site, the program, and especially in the materials and fitting together of projects. Recent work includes the Fleet Library at the Rhode Island School of Design. The recipients of many recognitions, they won a coveted Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in 2007.
