After graduating from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Jose Oubrerie worked closely with Le Corbusier for eight years on the master's later projects. Among those was the church of Saint-Pierre de Firminy with Oubrerie as lead assistant in the Atelier. Forty years later under Oubrerie's direction the work is now realized. Since 1986 Jose Oubrerie has combined his own practice with teaching in the U.S., where he headed the architecture schools at the University of Kentucky and at Ohio State.
