In the forefront of the new generation of Spanish architects, Anton Garcia-Abril ties the building process intimately to design. Serving as contactor and architect, he works boldly in stone, steel, and concrete—and above all, in scale. His music school for Santiago de Compostella was a finalist for the EU's prestigious Mies van der Rohe Pavilion Prize. Garcia-Abril has been a visiting critic at UT-Arlington and serves as lead juror in this year's AIA Dallas Ken Roberts Competition.
