Artists performing ten dates across U.S. this October as part of Mush Records’ Fall tour

Caural, Daedelus and Thavius Beck will play San Diego’s Kava Lounge on Thursday, October 19th with guest DJ Jon Baker. Resident DJs Thumbprint, Frantik and Mada will spin DJ sets. These musicians are redefining what electronic music means to listeners; while creating works in a genre typically characterized by uninspired laptop “performances,” they have each garnered a reputation for stunning audiences with collaboration, ingenuity and charisma that comes naturally to each of them.

Caural’s third full-length, “Mirrors for Eyes,” was released on October 9th; he recently completed a national tour with Akrobatik and Busdriver. Daedelus is supporting the “Sundown” EP, a follow-up to his highly praised release, “Denies the Day’s Demise.” Thavius Beck’s second full-length, “Thru,” features the talents of Mia Doi Todd and Saul Williams, among others. Daedelus has recorded for Mush, Hefty, Plug Research, Tigerbeat 6 and Eastern Developments, collaborating with the likes of Madvillain (MF Doom and Madlib), Nobody, Beans, Prefuse 73, Busdriver, and many others. His live show utilizes a custom-built sample trigger device, the Monome, and software package. He wows audiences all across the U.S., Europe, and Japan with his original compositions, blending honeyed film soundtracks from the 30s and 40s with beats that bang impressively in the present. His most recent release, “Denies the Day’s Demise,” was released by Mush Records on May 9, 2006. A new EP offering, “Throw A Fit,” was released by Alpha Pup Records on October 10, 2006. He is currently working on new material, both as a solo artist and as a member of Adventure Time and The Long Lost.

Caural, a.k.a. Zachary Mastoon, has recorded for Mush and Chocolate Industries, along with doing extensive amounts of remix work and touring as a DJ with his labelmate, Busdriver. The past year has seen Caural tour with Busdriver, Pigeon John, Aceyalone and RJD2, among others. His new album, “Mirrors for Eyes,” was released on October 9, 2006.

Critically acclaimed by the likes of WIRE, Spin and Urb for his solo works, and lauded as a darling of the underground as one-half of Labwaste, Thavius Beck is going places. Having toured with Saul Williams and recorded numerous guest appearances, he has recorded his second album, “Thru.” Released on September 25, 2006, the new material features Mia Doi Todd, Saul Williams, 2Mex, and newcomer Nocando.
