Continuous Process Improvement is an ongoing initiative to ensure we stay competitive in today's market. However many organization deploys conventional approach towards neutralizing competitions. These approaches provide very minimal impact and most of the time increases operational cost.
Cycle Time Reduction is identifying and implementing more efficient ways to do things. Reducing Cycle Time requires eliminating or reducing non value added activity. Examples of non value added activity in which cycle time can be used to reduce or eliminate includes repair due to defects, machine set-up, inspection, test and schedule delays. Reducing cycle time will have a significant impact on company's bottom line when implemented.
