Subscriber Performance Straight from the Broadway stage to the Capital City! Theatre Harrisburg presents the Central Pennsylvania premiere of the final show by the legendary team of John Kander and the late Fred Ebb (of CHICAGO and CABARET fame) as well as the winner of a 2007 Best Actor Tony Award for David Hyde Pierce. Its a musical comedy/murder mystery set in a 1959 Boston theatre. When the star of the show is poisoned during her opening night curtain call, the police detective assigned to the case sequesters the entire building and sets about both solving the crime and indulging his secret-ambition of becoming a musical theatre star himself. This show features an enormous cast of colorful, quirky characters, all of whom are suspects. Is the murderer the unscrupulous producer, the flamboyant director, the feuding (and recently divorced) composer and lyricist, the mean-spirited critic, the overly-ambitious chorus girl, the naive financial backer or someone else? Filled with some of Broadways most tuneful and entertaining music in recent years, this show will keep you laughing and guessing until the finalcurtain. Certain to be the theatrical event of the season, CURTAINS can be enjoyed by audiences from 10 to 110. Dont miss it! Location - The Whitaker Center - Downtown Harrisburg.
