Come celebrate the release of Adobe Creative Suite 4 this Wednesday with local Adobe User Groups - LA AIR & LA Flash

On the night of Wednesday, October 1st, authorized Adobe User Groups LA AIR & LA Flash are hosting a night of CS4 action! We are coming together for a free night celebrating Adobe's 4th release of their Creative Suite. Come one, come all, print designers to interactive programmers to video artists, all Adobe fans are being treated to a night of Adobe raffle prizes and top-notch presentations from Adobe and local user group leaders.

When are we celebrating? Wednesday, October 1st, 2008, starts at 7pm and ends after 10pm.

Zend PHP Applications with Adobe Flex and Adobe AIR - Adobe presentation by Christophe Coenraets

Rich Internet applications (RIAs) are everywhere. With Web businesses like Google and Yahoo! and brick and mortar companies like Harley Davidson and Sherwin Williams embracing RIAs for their online presence, the media buzz is giving way to the reality of a better Internet.
Adobe has recently contributed AMF support to the Zend Framework, allowing PHP developers to easily build Rich Internet Applications using Flex and Adobe AIR that interact with a PHP backend.

Christophe Coenraets, a technical evangelist with Adobe, will give an introduction to Adobe Flex and Adobe AIR, and will walk through how to create a Flex application powered by PHP and the Zend Framework. Working with Zend Studio for Eclipse, and Flex Builder (an Eclipse plugin), Christophe will demonstrate how to build, debug and deploy applications built with Adobe Flex, and how to have these same applications run on the desktop using the Adobe AIR runtime.

With this knowledge, developers will be able to easily build rich Internet applications that combine data from PHP and rich media like audio and video into a compelling application.

Something's New in Flash CS4

R Blank, LA Flash manager, will debut some great crowd pleasing changes made to Flash Player 10 and Flash CS4... hint: 3D!
