This documentary chronicles the life of Philadelphia-based legend Darryl "Cornbread" McCray, the man credited as being the father of modern day graffiti and hip hop.

Cry of the City... profiles Cornbread's life, from growing up tagging walls to the ups and downs that led to his dedication as a social worker and father.

This screening will be followed by a special panel discussion with panel discussion with Jane Golden (director of Mural Arts Program), Erick Cohen (owner of local graffiti shop Rarebreed), Will Boone (professor of Hip-hop and Black Culture at Temple), Cornbread, and Notorious Bik (former graffiti writer).
