Crossroads Festival & Mississippi Regional Chili Cook-Off April 4, 2009

Family-style, alcohol free second annual festival and ICS chili cookoff held at the Crossroads Arena in Corinth, Mississippi. Fun for the kids, arts and crafts, chili tasting, hot pepper eating contest, music all day, car show and much more. The popular People's Choice -- where visitors will be allowed to sample chili from the various cooking teams -- will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a fee of $2 per person. All the People's Choice funds will be given to the Northeast Mississippi Down Syndrome Society. Gate admission is $5 with children 12 and under admitted free. Those attending will be issued armbands and will be allowed to come and go. There will be main stage entertainment all day with different types of music to appeal to a wide audience. Evening acts include Allman Brothers tribute band the Midnight Riders of Nashville, Tenn., and Memphis rock and roller Jason D. Williams.
