Cross Timbers Trail Hike November 1, 2009

This hike will take place on the other side of the marsh in part of the refuge called the Cross Timbers. This area is on the edge of the marsh but Is also influenced by large mature trees. This part of the refuge is home to wood ducks, deer and pileated woodpeckers. If we are lucky we may get a glimpse of one. We will also look for armadillos and turkeys on this hike. Bring water and wear appropriate hiking attire. $5 (with paid admission)/MEMBERS FREE.
