Crooked Still redefines traditional music. With the unusual instrumentation of cello, banjo, bass and voice, this neo-bluegrass outfit shatters preconceptions without sacrificing authenticity. This African-American string band, featuring Ed Butler (Red Clay Ramblers), Rhiannon Giddens, Dom Flemons and Justin Robinson plays the fiddle tunes of the Carolinas' piedmont, striving to carry on the traditional music of black and white communities.
