Every organization dreads a crisis, but they can and do happen. How you deal with them often makes the difference between a quick recovery and a long-term setback. At stake are reputation and credibility, qualities that are hard to earn, but easy to lose in a badly-managed crisis situation. Communication is key to dealing effectively with a crisis, and any organization – no matter how small – that does not have a communications plan to guide it through a crisis is exposing its reputation and credibility to serious risk.
You'll learn all about…
• How to engage senior management in crisis communications planning
• How to develop a crisis communications plan and integrate it with the organization’s overall crisis response plan
• How to test the plan and make improvements
• How to deal with the news media during a crisis
• How to avoid the most common communications mistakes during a crisis
