Steven Rinella is the author of The Scavenger’s Guide to Haute Cuisine and American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon. He is a correspondent for Outside magazine, where he’s been a frequent contributor since 2000. His writing has appeared in many other publications, including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Salon.com, Field and Stream, American Heritage, and Glamour, as well as in the anthologies The Best American Travel Writing and The Best Food Writing.

A reception for Rinella will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the reading at 6:00. Both are free and open to the public and take place in the Larry and Kathryn Smith Chapel. For more information, phone 814-898-6108.
