ADMISSION $10/ $5 FOR REAL ART WAYS MEMBERS
On the third Thursday of every month, creative people come together for conversation, art, and music.

Carol Padberg's in the Real Room. Face Value uses fragments of found typography to take apart and put back together language. Padberg creates visual improvisations. Sometimes comical, sometimes minimal, these images ask questions about design, nonverbal language, and the modernist lineage of abstract painting. The opening reception for Face Value is from 6-8 PM.

Sam Brown from explodingdog.com will be drawing pictures in response to titles you give him. He will also have prints, books, and original drawings for sale. Since graduating from Hartford Art School in 1999, Sam Brown has drawn thousands of pictures for his website explodingdog. Each picture is in response to a title emailed in by a viewer of the site. Unable to draw much more than highly emotional stick figures, Sam has thousands visit explodingdog.com each day to follow along and view his latest pictures.

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra's French Horn Quartet is having a working rehearsal in our theater. The quartet will sight read a piece. Ask questions, offer suggestions, and make comments as you learn about the speed bumps and errors that are part of the rehearsal process.

We'll also have a demo of the Biontague Electric Bike.
