Eriyo's first workshop at RBR, Light, Wind & Earth, was completely sold out so we are bringing her back at your request. Those of you who could not get in the first, here is your chance!

The purpose of this workshop is to pay attention to your inner voice and know yourself at deep level. Total expression using a variety of art forms such as dancing, drum circle, painting, and making poems with music as well as breathing exercises, stretching, and meditation help you to reduce stress and increase self-understanding. It brings you a peace of mind and deep relaxation, without judgment, accepting your whole self with love. Please wear something comfortable to dance.

Eriyo Watananbe holds a Master's Degree from Lesley University in art therapy, dance therapy and music therapy. She facilitates the healing process and sense of creative release using various modalities of expressive arts. She teaches incense ceremony and calligraphy for self-awareness and relaxation as well as stress reduction. She grew up in Japan and lived in London, Hong Kong and Boston for approximately ten years. She has traveled to over 40 different countries in order to explore music, dance and rituals throughout the world. Because of her travels and international experience, she actively interweaves the essence of various cultures into her practice. The goal in her work is to integrate breathing exercises, meditation, visual arts, music, and dance as means of stress reduction, self-awareness, and self-empowerment. On February 3, 2006 she has organized a charity event - a mini performance of a Noh Play and a workshop with Kotsuzumi Master, Genjiro Okura and other perf
ormers at the Canadian Embassy Theater. Please check her website for more information.
