Have you ever wondered how your grandmother made that beautiful quilt? On Saturday, April 10, from 1:00 to 3:00, the Western Illinois Museum will host an informative, behind the scenes, look at the steps in creating a quilt. Members of the Prairie Quilters will present an overview of the quilt making process focusing on imagination, steps, and secrets.

The program is open to the public, and is for anyone who simply appreciates beautiful quilts, or those who have dabbled in quilting. Those who are avid quilters will get a chance to share secrets with others who are passionate about quilt making.

There is a suggested $5.00 donation and children under eleven are free. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The program will include short presentations about the quilting techniques followed by demonstrations. Presenters will be available to answer questions and share examples of their work.
