UNM Continuing Education is offering a one day, hands-on workshop, that will teach you the basic techniques of doing punched tinwork on Saturday, October 3, 2009, from 8am-5pm. For $85 you will learn and practice stamping, punching and scoring on tin. Your class projects, which you can complete in this one day course, are a night-light with electrical and a tin frame with mirror (approx.12” x 20”). Note: A lab fee of $50, payable to Ginny or Ted Arellanes, is due on the day of class and this covers the materials needed for your projects and the use of all the tools. A lunch break of 1/2 hour, at noon, will allow you enough time to finish your projects. Bring a sack lunch. For more information please visit www.dce.unm.edu or call 277-6320.
