The Center for Collaborative Communication, a peace-building nonprofit, is organizing a crane-making party to support the reconstruction of Japan. We’ll be at Bread Stuy, 403 Lewis Avenue in Brooklyn, NY on Tuesday April 26th from 5 - 8pm, and we’d love for you to join us!

Each crane you fold generates a $2 donation to Architecture for Humanity's reconstruction efforts in Japan from the Bezos Family Foundation. Children are especially welcome, and we’ll have an origami expert available to help us fold.

The only action required on your part is to help us make the cranes -- and perhaps enjoy a treat at Bread Stuy! -- no monetary donation is requested. We will mail the cranes out and make sure that our community's donation is received.

As a local organization that teaches Nonviolent Communication, the Center for Collaborative Communication sees this event as in line with our underlying mission of peace- and compassion building across the world. This event was conceived by Students Rebuild, and more information on the project is here: http://studentsrebuild.org/japan/
