Seattle journalist Craig Welch will read from and discuss his upcoming book, Shell Games: Rogues, Smugglers, and the Hunt for Natures Bounty, at The Seattle Public Library, Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Microsoft Auditorium, Level 1.Shell Games tells the true story of Ed Volz, a detective working to track down geoduck poachers in the Puget Sound region.Welch is the chief environmental writer for the Seattle Times. His work has appeared in Smithsonian magazine, the Washington Post and Newsweek. Welch lives in Wallingford.This program is presented in cooperation with The Elliott Bay Book Co.
