Composer & trombonist Craig S. Harris has performed with a Who's Who of Jazz' most innovative voices, including Sun Ra, Sekou Sundiata, Regina Carter, & Lena Horne. Through God's Trombones, this superlative musician realizes a longstanding dream: to musically reinterpret & reinvigorate James Weldon Johnson's 1927 God’s Trombones: Sermons in Verse, a classic collection of poems based on the inspirational sermons of traveling Negro preachers.

With this music-theater work, Harris creates a musical extravaganza, featuring a jubilant trombone choir, vocalists & musicians, that will inspire a new generation unfamiliar with God's Trombones: Sermons in Verse while reminding others why this classic still uplifts the spirit & stirs the emotions.

Tickets $35.00. Discounts available for students, Seniors, & groups of 10 or more.
