Veteran alt-rockers Cracker expand the genre by infusing roots and experimental elements into wry rock and pop songs. Substantial players and songwriters, their live show is influenced by a ton of musical history- for one, lead singer David Lowery's roots are in the 80's alternative outfit Camper Van Beethoven.
Also appearing on this bill will be Jason Isbell, who spent the past six years as one of three frontmen for the critically acclaimed band Drive-By Truckers (DBT) -- and although fans may have been shocked by his leaving the band in April, hearing his solo material should help them understand that it was something he needed to do, as he has a voice all his own.
Opening the show will be Backyard Tire Fire, whose well-crafted alt country has been winning fans among workaday folks and snobbish music critics alike.
