On October 25 at 5:00 p.m. in Ward 2 the Transnational Crime and Corruption Center is hosting a round-table discussion on corruption and governance in higher education. A question and answer session will follow. Participants and topics are listed below.

Prof. Ethan Burger (TraCCC legal advisor and visiting professor at WCL) will discuss recent AU events in the context of corporate malfeasance seen since 2001. Prof. Burger will focus on the role that an institution's head, board, and shareholders play in corporate fraud.

Prof. Louise Shelley (TraCCC founder and director, SIS professor) will discuss the Ladner affair in context of corruption in public institutions around the world. She will also share her experiences as Cornell's first student representative following a restructuring at that university.

Prof. Peter Lewis (SIS professor) will discuss cronyism in institutions, both public and private.

Jason Terry (SIS MA candidate) will discuss his recent experiences as a student representative on the Board of Trustees following a restructuring by the university president to promote transparency with the local and university community.
