Corps Encore July 3, 2012

The precision, passion and power that is marching music’s major league will return to Weber State University’s Stewart Stadium on Tuesday, July 3 in one of Utah’s most family-friendly, affordable summer entertainment events.

Corps Encore has attracted a top-notch field of the nation’s elite drum and bugle corps including three former Drums Corps International world champions. The Blue Devils of Concord, CA, the Santa Clara Vanguard, and Rockford, IL’s Phantom Regiment will strut their accomplishments in awe-inspiring sight and sound. They will be joined in competition by the Boston Crusaders, Cascades, Woodinville, WA; Denver’s Blue Knights and the Thunder of Spokane, WA.
With individualized and highly stylized programs, a “Broadway show on a football field”, the 150 brass, percussion and color guard members of each corps will perform to music from classical favorites, jazz, popular and perhaps, even some rock and roll.
Corps Encore is hosted by Ascend Performing Arts with support from Xerox, Utah’s Credit Union, Standard-Examiner, Summerhays Music, Weber State University and Ogden-area McDonalds.
