Kids’ Cooking Camps at The Gourmandise School

Join us for three hours of delicious fun 5 days a week this summer as we learn the basics of cooking and baking with Farmer’s Market-fresh ingredients and very cool recipes. We are offering 4 weeks of camps from 10am-1230pm at our sweet cooking school by the sea conveniently located in Santa Monica Place.

Each week will focus on either sweet or savory recipes so that you can master both main dishes and desserts. Our professional instructors will teach you important knife skills, kitchen safety and recipes that you can easily make again at home. We will finish each class with a sit-down meal (and parents, don’t worry, we’ll serve lunch before we eat our sweets)!

There is limited space for the cooking camps as we focus on hands-on techniques in small groups. Young cooks entering 1st-3rd grades will be taught on one side of the school as more mature chefs entering the 4th-6th grades cook on the other side. We are happy to accommodate siblings and multiple weeks of camp with a $20 discount off each week. Class size is limited to 12 students for each age group.

Please arrive on time. Classes will begin promptly at 10am, with each Monday beginning with an introduction, apron and chef hat personalization and knife skills instruction.

$195/week or $175/week if more than 1 week or siblings are purchased. When registering, please specify the name and age of each child in the special instructions box.

About Us:
The Gourmandise School offers daytime, evening and weekend cooking classes in a hands-on setting with small class sizes. The Gourmandise School was born in the early '80s when a little Parisian girl discovered the wonders of sweets. As she grew up, Pastry Chef Clemence Gossett, honed her pastry skills at her family's auberge in Provence. Hadley Hughes, a sweet native of Atlanta, joined the school in 2010. Her southern charm and gluten-free recipes round out a delicious menu of courses. The Gourmandise School offers cooking classes, private lessons, Professional Baking Series for Baking, Pastry, Chocolate and Confections and Corporate and Team-building Events.
