Conversations with Artists: Nancy Selvin and Gyöngy Laky on form and function in craft, moderated by Meredith Tromble

Sculptors Nancy Selvin and Gyöngy Laky have both spent decades bringing an art sensibility to forms and materials that are often regarded as craft. Selvin's primary medium is clay, and Laky is best known for fiber art. In conversation with artist and writer Meredith Tromble, Selvin and Laky will discuss their work in context of the contemporary resurgence of craft, the craving for the experience of handwork in the digital age, and their contributions to transforming the rich craft tradition in the San Francisco Bay Area.
