The Charlotte Country Dancers (CCD) offer a contra dance every Monday night that nurtures the Charlotte dance community by giving callers, dance writers and new musicians a chance to learn the nuances of contra dance.

As with all contra dances the mood is welcoming, the dances are playful, easy to learn and non-competitive. Prepare to sweat, and laugh so hard your face hurts. Also prepare to have time to hang out and chat as this is a teaching venue and the dances stop and get tweaked if needed. Each dance is taught briefly so no experience is needed. Venues is substance free.

Please note: you can not get to the hall from 7th st.!!!!!!

Driving away from uptown turn left onto 5th, Driving towards Uptown turn right onto Fireman's place (it's called 5th in the other direction), Turn left into first drive and the hall is on the left.

Bringing drinking water and wearing comfy cloths, useful. Wearing clean soft shoes that will not mark venues vintage suspended hardwood floors, required. Not wearing perfumes or heavy scents so folks with allergies/asthma can dance to their hearts delight, a kind consideration.

$7.
