Contra Dance Carolina - High Energy Contra Dance November 9, 2007

Folks are thrilled to hear there's now a second Friday contra dance like the ones they have been driving hours into the mountains for that welcomes new dancers!

Contra Dance is a welcoming, playful high-energy, social, non-competitive dance form. Each dance is taught briefly. No experience or partner is needed. Patterns resemble a flirty, madcap Ceilidh or square dance requiring thinking and fast reflexes so all venues are substance free. Ability to laugh at oneself helpful, even the best dancers goof up now and then.

Tonight’s dance will feature the fiery music of Hot Flash.

Crash course @ 7pm has most newcomers ready to go when the dance starts around 7:30.
Please wear clean soft shoes that will not hurt this venues vintage suspended hardwood floors. Bring drinking water.

There are balconies for non dancers to hang out, enjoy the music and mind the children.
If you bring young children please also bring a spare adult with which to share supervision.
