Contra Dance Carolina - High Energy Contra Dance September 14, 2007

Contra Dance Carolina returns to the abidance, elbowroom and suspended wood floor of Davidson IBM’s detached vintage gym. Balcony seating available for fans of fine acoustic music.

Contra Dance Carolina offers Welcoming, High Energy, Non-Competitive social dances requiring no prior experience or partner. Contras resemble a flirty madcap square dance requiring thinking, ability to laugh at oneself & fast reflexes so all venues are substance free. Each dance taught briefly.
Caller/teacher- Dean Snipes calling. Music - Denise Spring and the Son of the Full Moon. Never danced before? A brief lesson shortly after 7:00pm will have folks ready to join in when dance starts around 7:30pm.

Bring coffee mug (when not raining, a special desert to share is nice but not require). Wear soft soled, non-marking soled shoes. Prepare to Sweat! Most folks bring a change of cloths, lightweight fabrics and skirts popular.

Kids? Balconies are a fine place for kids. Please bring a spare grownup with whom to swap out supervision.
