Contemporary Music for The "Taming of the Shrew" with Cliff Eberhardt April 24, 2013

Having worked with the likes of Richie Havens and Dar Williams, Eberhardt is an accomplished musician and a gifted songwriter and performer of contemporary folk, bluesy and romantic songs. His superb guitar playing, soulful singing, and engaging wit make for a “compelling, thought-filled, emotional roller coaster of a concert. Presenting the original music composed for the Folger Theatre’s recent production of Taming of the Shrew, Cliff Eberhardt performs his “bluesy, witty, heartfelt tunes.” Featuring a clutch of dusy, tender songs written and beautifully performed by Eherhardt, he supplies not just musical transitions but the character of a chorus. Audiences will enjoy his original orchestrations.
