Performed by Scarecrow Contemporary Dance Company

Thechoreography S, combined with daily behaviors, theatric performancesand surrealistic ideas; is a life-themed choreography showing ourquestioning and thinking of life. The theme of the choreography S isoriginated from a sentence of Thoreau's masterpiece Walden Pond, with the meaning of "What kind of space that separates man from his kind, and makes him solitude?"

Lifeis so fragile. How will we be confronted with the great change thatbrought by the stupendous calamity? How will we see through the deepestmeaning lying in life? How will we turn the sufferings in life tohappiness? We view everything in life subjectively. Solitude increasesthe strength of self; silence expands the space of life; and when Ifeel my own breath, I feel the sense of existence.

"S" is the mark of our time. It is something with solitude, silence, segregation and the sense of existence.
