Jelle Zeilinga de Boer was raised in Indonesia, studied in The Netherlands and has taught earth science at Wesleyan University since 1965. His research has concentrated on paleomagnetism and the tectonic evolution of active plate collision zones in Greece, the Philippines, and southern Central America. Lately he has focused on the role of geologic phenomena in Greek mythology, specifically at Delphi's Oracle and the Chimaera site in Turkey. Book signing to follow.
