CONNECT WITH THE SPIRIT WITHIN - A Day of Workshops & Practices at the Bay Area Gnostic Center

On December 12, you'll have another opportunity to see what the Bay Area Gnostic Center is all about by participating in several workshops designed to give you a taste of the practices of modern Gnosis.
This time, the focus will be on Christmas and the esoteric meaning of it. It has been said that the universal message of Christmas is also written in the stars, and we can tap into it with the aid of perfect concentration and inner investigation. Come and discover what is written within you about the mysteries of this favorite holiday and leave more peaceful and connected to the spiritual.

Below is the schedule for the day. Feel free to drop in for any of them or stay for the day. Our address is 3201 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley. We are only a few blocks away from the Ashby BART station and there is a stop for Bus Line 18 right in front of our door.

11:00-11:50am
Christmas Mantras
Heighten your perception and feel the soothing, mystical force that mantra practices give.
You’ll learn 2 different mantras with a special connection to Christmas.

12:00-12:50pm
The Underestimated Power of Concentration
Concentration can help us not only in the activities of daily life, but also in penetrating the deeper mysteries of objects, elements, living organisms and our existence. Follow 2 guided concentration exercises with the aim of learning more about the element of fire.

1:00-1:50pm
Lunch in our Gnostic Cafe
Enjoy an assortment of healthy, homemade dishes and desserts including vegan and vegetarian; all available for reasonable donations.

2:00-2:50pm
Awareness Workshop
To succeed in spiritual practices, one must learn to quieten the mind and become receptive to what is happening at any given moment. Life is multidimensional and if we are observant and silent internally, we can perceive things with unusual clarity and depth that go beyond the physical.

3:00-3:50 pm
The Mystery of Conscious Imagination
Discover the hidden potential of visualisation that allows us to tap into the esoteric side of places.
In the first part of this workshop, you will visualise a familiar place. The second part will be visualization of a place you have never been to, serving as a basis for the Astral Projection exercise to follow.

4:00-5:00 pm
Astral Journey to the Stars
Follow a guided visualisation of the stars with the aim of projecting into space and investigating a hidden relationship between Christmas and the stars.

If you are interested in learning more practices and going much deeper than what is possible in this single day of workshops, we also have our 2 main courses called The Power of Gnostic Practice (runs on Mondays at 7:30 pm), and Dreams and Out-of-Body Experiences (runs on Thursdays at 7:30 pm). The new round of the courses will start on January 4.
