1500 Warburton Avenue
Santa Clara, California 95050

One of the things I most enjoy about serving Silicon Valley in the U.S. Congress is the opportunity to meet folks from all over our Congressional District and to hear what's on your mind.

These town meetings are open to anybody who is interested in discussing issues important to the local community or pending federal legislation.

Whether you come to a town meeting in Campbell, Gilroy, or Santa Clara, I look forward to seeing you, your family, friends and neighbors at the next town hall meeting in your neighborhood.

Meeting with and learning from my constituents is the most fulfilling part of my job, and I encourage you to participate in these important events. If there is anything you'd like me to talk about during the Town Hall, please send in your question!

Together we can achieve a great deal for our region. I look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,
Mike Honda

What is your position on the counties efforts to address small business contracting and specifically minority business programs? The county of Santa Clara is very diverse community however in my opinion that diversity is not reflected in their opportunities to participate in the public contracting. Despite receiving significant federal funding they have no policies that address Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and take very passive position on the issue. Caltrans has recently published the results of disparity study which confirms what I know from working in the community on these issues for the past 10 years. http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/bep. Thank you for considering this as issue to address.
