Confines of Content August 18, 2008

This exhibit draws together artists' books and fine print editions, items usually confined to the closed stacks of Special Collections or locked glass cases in the Africana Library. These books, selected for their structure rather than their content, represent innovative combinations of images, text, and format. A digital slide show attempts to convey the physical and participatory aspects of these pieces, hopefully lending the audience a tangible way to unlock the confines of content.
