CIPFA Better Governance Forum invites you to attend two Special Autumn workshops that will explain how public sector bodies can conduct an Information & Records Audit to help with better governance.

All public bodies are tasked with managing their information effectively and following best practice for information governance. Specifically, all public bodies must position themselves to comply fully with Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation. The code of practice for records management specifies the policies and procedures and systems that public bodies should have in place to meet the requirements of Freedom of Information legislation and The National Archives has published a workbook and self assessment guide for public bodies who wish to test their compliance with the code.

The sessions are highly interactive and will make use of scenarios, examples and participants' input to enhance the learning experience.
