Concert Pianist Daniel Glover will perform a piano recital to benefit the Valley Concert Chorale.

Mr. Glover, who is the accompanist for the Valley Concert Chorale, is an internationally known concert pianist who has performed extensively throughout the world.

Of Mr. Glover's talent, the San Jose Mercury News said, "Glover is an incisive, exciting, and apparently tireless player...a natural for hyper-virtuosic challenge." The San Francisco Classical Voice remarked, "Brilliant, tender, whimsical, sparkling...Glover brought everything together into a well balanced, evenly measured medium... The elegance and civility of Glover's approach was musically unimpeachable..."

Mr. Glover's program will feature compositions by Chopin, Schumann and Samuel Barber, in celebration of their 200th and 100th birthdays in 2009. He will play Ballades and Nocturnes by Chopin and Barber, as well as Barber's Excursions. Additional works include Schumann's Kinderscenen (Scenes from Childhood) and conclude with Brahms' most virtuosic composition, Variations on a Theme by Paganini.
