Concert for Remembrance November 11, 2012

A concert supporting Help for Heroes and The Royal British Legion, featuring the Southend Bach Choir, Southend Choral Society, Southend Festival Chorus, Southend Boys and Girls Choirs’ and the Essex Concert Orchestra.
The concert will include the South Essex Premier performance of Karl Jenkins’s Armed Man - A Mass for Peace which was commissioned for the millenium by Britain’s Armouries and dedicated to the victims of the Kosovo war. Also featured in the programme will be Elgar’s Lux Aeterna, Walton’s Crown Imperial, Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens, Williams’ For the Fallen and Rutter’s Distant Land.
