Douglas Dunn shares his 37 years of experience in a 3 day workshop at Dance New Amsterdam focusing on personal performance and choreographic questions. Since beginning to create work in 1970, Dunn has found answers to questions including: Is anxiety useful in performance? What happens if I make choreographic decisions without considering shape? What is "found" movement and what's to be done with it? What is a "task" in dancing? Each class will begin with a brief warm-up, followed by a conversation addressing these questions and answers through movement.
