The Oshman Family JCC (OFJCC) introduces an innovative community program which allows people to experience the full range of the JCC's offerings on Tuesdays between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. With an affordable Community Tuesdays punch card, the public is welcome to visit the fitness center, attend a concert or volunteer with kids.

To kick-off this program, the OFJCC is hosting a concert luncheon featuring the San Francisco Opera Merola Singers on January 15, 2013. The Merola Opera Program is regarded as the foremost opera training program for aspiring opera singers, coach accompanists and stage directors. You will hear arias, songs and Broadway tunes sung by the young opera singers of the future.

The Merola concert is just a sample of the many activities Community Tuesday members can enjoy while at the OFJCC. Anyone can purchase a 10-activity or a 5-activity punch card and enjoy lectures, classes, concerts, access to the Goldman Sports and Wellness Complex, and additional discounts. Daytime programming provides opportunities for newly retired people, seniors, part-time workers and stay at home parents to get involved and try new things.

Program creator, Michelle Rosengaus states, "Tuesdays are special at the OFJCC because of all the quality activities we provide. Community members have expressed a need for this type of programming in focus groups, and we're happy we can deliver."

Another important element of Community Tuesdays is the opportunity for people to volunteer. Volunteer options include: thanking donors, reading to kids ages 5 to 12, and teaching hobbies and crafts to our adult members. All volunteer options require advance arrangements.

Bring a friend and make your Tuesday special by enjoying programs at the OFJCC.
