HOOSIER PARK TO HOST COMMUNITY OUTREACH
EVENT FOR UPCOMING SLOTS EXPANSION
Anderson, IND. (Sept. 12, 2007) – Hoosier Park at Anderson will host a Community Outreach event Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007. A reception will take place at 4:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Room at Hoosier Park followed by the formal program at 5 p.m. The program will offer an overview of projects, timelines, and guidelines to be included in the construction and development stages of the new casino facility set to open in 2008.

Included on the agenda will be information describing how business enterprises can participate in the casino project. Details concerning MBE/WBE certification, business readiness, and other guidelines will also be explained.

“We are excited to begin the process of development for the new 92,000 square foot facility that will house the slot machines at Hoosier Park,” said Jeffrey Smith, CEO of Centaur Racing, Inc. “Our goal is to include area businesses, and we are committed to doing all we can to include MBE/WBE in this process.”

“We are very excited to begin development and construction of the new slots facility at Hoosier Park,” said Rick Moore, Hoosier Park president and general manager. “We have a great team working internally on this project and with all approvals in place, we feel the process to bring employment and revenue into the city of Anderson is ready to move forward.”

Hoosier Park at Anderson, Indiana’s first pari-mutuel racetrack, offers Standardbred, Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing and wholecard simulcasting.
