Community Organizing Meeting February 1, 2006

Neighbors for Neighbors JP, will hosts its first Community Organizing Meeting of 2006, on Wednesday, February 1st from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Milky Way Lounge and Lane at 405 Center Street in Jamaica Plain.

Come meet your neighbors, get involved and meet our new Police Captain James Claiborne. We will introduce new community projects and you are welcome to create one on the spot. Spend the evening with us and find out how you can make a difference and have a great time doing it.

New projects that will be introduced: Left-Right-Front-Back (you have to come to the meeting to find out about this one), Community Stroll, Community Dinner, Gardening Club, Knitting Club, Share your Travels Club, and the Fly Fishing Club ? there are more too. We will be reintroducing: Bike Club, Running Club, Safe Walk and Pot Lock Suppers ? there may be more.

The agenda goes like this:

7:00 to 7:40 PM ? Socialize

7:40 to 7:55 PM ? Introduction and Captain James Claiborne

7:55 to 8:25 PM ? New Project Introductions and Start a Project Open Mic

8:25 to 8:30 PM ? Announcements (already full sorry)

8:30 to 9:00 PM ? More Socializing

9:00 PM ?til the break of dawn ? Soulkore (www.soulkore.com) and Momentum Band.

This is a free event, delicious appetizers will be provided by the Milky Way and the event will be translated into Spanish.
