Crossroads offers Community Focus on Opiates Conference on Oct. 28th --

Dr. Ted Parran, a nationally recognized expert on opiate addiction treatment and prevention is coming to Lake County as the keynote speaker for the Crossroads “Community Focus on Opiates Conference: Prevention and Treatment Strategies for Teens and Young Adults” on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. He will address “Substance Abuse and Addiction in Adolescents and Young Adults – The Emergence of Opioids.”

Parran will join other experts on opiate abuse treatment and prevention for the day-long conference highlighting current research, awareness and prevention strategies for professionals and non-professionals alike. It runs from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel and Suites Cleveland-Eastlake, 35000 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.

Orman Hall, director of the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Services (ODADAS) will be the luncheon speaker.
