Internationally acclaimed comedienne Karen Rontowski is not only known for her optimistic and inoffensive humor, but also for her quick wit and genius improv skills with audiences. Opening for Karen is self-described comic dork Phil Johnson. Parking is free.

From her network debut on The Late Show with David Letterman to Comedy Central and Comics Unleashed, Karen Rontowski (www.karenrontowski.com) headlines major comedy venues around the world. She has also opened for such show business legends as Bob Hope, Ray Charles, and The Monkees, and is featured in the greeting card line called Frank and Funny. Comic great David Brenner says, "Even if you can't spell Rontowski, you'd better remember it, because she is great!"

Karen is a TV favorite on The Late Show with David Letterman, Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, and is a regular on the Bob and Tom Radio Show. In addition to Rontowski's late night career as a comic, audiences will recognize her from her later night career as a paranormal investigator, and her famous Flappers Comedy Club live tarot readings, where she honed her terrific improv skills. And if that's not enough, Karen also gives her time entertaining the troops.

Opening the show at the Firehouse is Phil Johnson (www.roadsideattraction.com). Johnson has appeared at the Sundance Film Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as numerous comedy venues around the country. With dual careers as comic and musician, he uses both to dissect dilemmas in life. According to Johnson, "Sometimes (he) gets it and sometimes wonders what the heck people are thinking." On stage his playful humor and likeable, endearing manner allow him to shake things up without antagonizing the audience.
