On February 26th in Toronto, “Comedy and Cash for Bangladesh 2” will feature one of Canada’s most popular comedians, Debra DiGiovanni, a veteran of Just for Laughs, Last Comic Standing and Video On Trial. Debra will be joined by some of Toronto’s funniest comics in an effort to raise funds to provide scholarships to needy children in Bangladesh.

Performers include John Ki, (winner of the 2006 Q107 “Funniest Person With a Day Job” contest), Dave Merheje (the star of the “We Ain’t Terrorists” comedy tour), Steve Scholtz (nominated for the 2007 Tim Sims Encouragement Fund), Alex Kojfman (star of Colours of Comedy), and Ryan Maglunob. Comedian Saad Kiyani will host the show.

This year's profits is going to a non-profit organization called Monayr Asha Aid (MAA),dedicated to promoting the advancement of childhood education in Bangladesh and Uganda. For more information visit www.maaf.ca
