Comedian Tom Simmons December 14, 2010

Push Play Entertainment and Jake’s Billiards bring stand-up comedian Tom Simmons to the Greensboro Coliseum Complex’s Odeon Theatre on Tuesday, December 14 at 7:30pm. Also appearing will be J.D. Shapiro, writer of the blockbuster film Robinhood - Men in Tights and Adam Allred, one of the headliners of the Crackers of Comedy Tour.

Tom Simmons won the 2009 San Francisco Comedy Competition, an event from which talents
like Robin Williams and Ellen DeGeneres rose to fame. This win is the latest milestone in a 15-
year career that has always been dedicated to one crowd-pleasing denominator: “I want the
time people are at my show to be the most enjoyable part of their entire day.” Such enthusiasm
made him also a two-time finalist at the Boston Comedy Festival.

Tom’s performances can be seen on Comedy Central, Showtime and BET. Tom frequently has air time on XM/Sirius satellite radio and on the Bob and Tom syndicated radio show. He also wrote, starred and directed the movie, We Married Margo.
