Come out and volunteer for the American Heart Association at the Lawyers Have Heart 10K!

Spurred by the fact that cardiovascular disease is America's No. 1 killer, four million AHA volunteers are working to prevent heart disease and stroke. Each year the American Heart Association relies on these volunteers to help reduce disability and death due to heart disease and stroke. Fundraising through activities, such as Lawyers Have Heart, secure the necessary funds to support the research and educational program activities.

Hours and Presents!

Please arrive at the Washington Harbour and report to the volunteer-check in no later than 6:15 AM.

All volunteers will receive a classic Lawyers Have Heart t-shirt, admission to the post-race activities, and are eligible for random prizes.
Race Day Registration

Sign up runners and walkers on day of race. (Approximate time commitment - 5:30 AM to 8:00 AM)
Start Line/Finish Line Services

Hold seeding signs at the start of the race; direct runners and walkers at start and end of race; remind runners to remove and return runners' ChampionChips. (Approximate time commitment - 7:15 AM. to 10:00 AM)

Water stations at start/finish line

Maintain and replenish water stations for runners and walkers before and after race (Approximate time commitment - 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM)
Course Marshals

Direct and cheer on runners on the course (Approximate time commitment -- 6:30 AM to 9:45 AM)

Water Stations on the route

There will be two water stations on the course itself; set up and clean up water stations, hand runners cups of water; cheer on runners (Approximate time commitment - 6:15 AM. to 10:00 AM)
Post-race Festivities

There will be food, prizes and awards after the race; help keep food areas organized and well-stocked; help give out prizes and awards (Approximate time commitment - 7:15 AM to 10:30 AM)
Set up

Help to set up race site (Approximate time commitment - 4:30 AM to 8:00 AM)
Clean up

Help take down and clean up race site (Approximate time commitment - 9:30 AM to 12:15 PM)
