Columbia College Jazz Ensemble Welcomes Guest Trumpeter Jeremy Pelt March 14, 2013

Columbia College Jazz Ensemble (CCJE) continues its history of outstanding performances by featuring guest trumpeter Jeremy Pelt, who will begin his residency at the Columbia College Chicago Music Center on March 11.

Through the "Artist in Residency" program, which brings in numerous national and international artists annually, Columbia College students are exposed to the true meaning of collaboration. Pelt is scheduled to conduct various clinics on improvisation, small group playing, music business and a trumpet master class. Meanwhile, Pelt will be rehearsing throughout the week with the Columbia College Jazz Ensemble, preparing for a full weekend at the Jazz Showcase to conclude his residency.
