Looking for snowmobile-free routes for snowshoe and cross-country skiing this winter? Veteran author Dave Muller will show you the best areas that are regulated by state or federal rules to be free of snowmobiles. In his most recent book, Colorado’s Quiet Winter Trails, Dave has identified and described 100 snowshoe and cross-country ski routes that by state or federal regulation (and enforcement of forest constables) are free of snowmobiles. These are routes to be enjoyed and savored with the only sounds coming from your equipment moving through the snow and the pound of your heartbeat and rasp of your breath at altitude. In his presentation, Dave will discuss the trails, and trade notes with attendees about these wonderful places.
