Budapest, Budapest 1117

Since the first one in this conference series (France, 1949), Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale (CSI) has successfully established itself as the premier forum for the presentation and discussion of results in all branches of analytical spectroscopy. The organizers of the 36th edition of the CSI hereby kindly invite you to attend the upcoming one of this outstanding series of spectroscopy conferences, which will bring experimental developments and applications in focus.

The organizers aspire to provide you with an information-rich scientific programme that will stimulate collaboration and exchange of ideas. We are also certain that you will enjoy the pleasant and friendly atmosphere in Budapest, which offers many attractions.

In accordance with traditions, the programme will consist of invited plenary and keynote lectures, as well as oral and poster sessions.

Oral and poster contributions are both welcome on subjects within the scope of the conference, which encompasses the following fields of spectroscopy:

  • Atomic plasma spectrometry (ICP, GD, AAS, etc.)

  • Molecular spectrometry (UV-Vis, NMR, Raman, IR, etc.)

  • Organic and inorganic mass spectrometry (TIMS, MALDI, LC-MS, GC-MS)

  • X-ray spectrometry (XRF, XRD, XANES, PIXE, etc.)

  • Hyphenated techniques

  • Laser spectroscopy

  • Imaging techniques

  • Nuclear techniques (Mössbauer spectroscopy, Gamma spectroscopy, NAA)

  • Quality control and chemometry

Contributions describing applications of the above spectroscopy techniques are also highly encouraged, such as in the area of:

  • Material sciences (micro, surface and interface analysis)

  • Environmental and geochemical analysis

  • Archaeometry and cultural heritage

  • Biological applications

  • Food analysis

  • Clinical and pharmaceutical analysis

  • Speciation

  • Mass spectrometry in post-genomics and proteomics

  • Miniaturisation and nano-technology

Invited lecturers:

José A. C. Broekaert, Amares Chatt, Margaretha De Loos-Vollebregt, Alessandro D’Ulivo, Jürgen W. Einax, Günther Detlef, René van Grieken, Gary M. Hieftje, Jyrki Kauppinen, Nicolò Omenetto, Andreas Prange, Joanna Szpunar, Bernhard Welz.
